Site information
Privacy policy
This is a personal project website. There are no visitor accounts, advertising, analytics scripts, or live payments. A first-party script provides colour preferences and optional visual effects.
Who looks after this site
Eject is the personal site operator, based in Alberta, Canada. For questions or requests about your information, use the private contact form and choose Privacy. No email address is required. Keep the code you receive to read a reply.
What is collected and why
- Browsing: the hosting service receives connection information such as your IP address, requested page, browser details and time of access. It may record access, error and security logs to deliver and protect the site. The application does not build advertising profiles or record browsing analytics.
- Private requests: the topic you choose, the message you submit, the submission time, the privacy-policy version you agreed to and any reply. These are used only to handle the request. Please do not include sensitive information or information about other people unless necessary.
- Security: short-lived, keyed hashes of IP addresses are used to limit abusive form submissions. They are not anonymous while linkable by the operator. Administrative event records describe actions and their times, without copying message contents or passwords.
- Essential sessions: a temporary cookie protects forms and remembers a private conversation or an authenticated owner session. Read the cookie policy.
Colour preferences
The Theme menu changes the site’s accent colour. If you select “Remember in this tab”, the colour name is saved as eject.theme in this tab’s session storage. It is not sent to the server or used for tracking. Uncheck that option to remove the saved choice. Browser session restoration may restore it when tabs are reopened.
Your choice
You can read the project pages without submitting a form. The contact form asks for permission to use your message for your request; it is not permission for marketing. You can withdraw that permission and remove the conversation using your request code. Essential security processing is needed to protect the service. If a law requires a different legal basis, retention or response process, the applicable legal requirement takes precedence.
Who can access information
The site owner can read private requests. Anyone you share your request code with can also read and delete that conversation, so keep it private. Namecheap provides the hosting infrastructure and can process data as required to operate and protect it. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to address a security incident. The site does not sell personal information, share it for behavioural advertising, or send it to analytics providers.
Storage and retention
- Hosting location: United States. Hosting may involve processing outside your province or Canada, where local laws can permit government access.
- Private requests and replies: removed from the active database after 90 days from submission, or earlier when you or the owner delete them.
- Application rate-limit records: expire within one hour and are removed by scheduled cleanup or the next site request.
- Administrative event records: 30 days.
- Sessions: expire after 30 minutes without activity, with an eight-hour maximum application session. Browser session restoration can preserve a cookie, but does not extend these limits.
- Hosting logs: Namecheap collects access, error, and security logs for operational and security purposes. A specific retention period is not publicly documented..
- Backups: Encrypted manual backups are retained for 30 days, in addition to any backups maintained by the hosting provider under its own policies.. Deleted information can remain in backups until they expire; if a backup is restored, deletion requests must be reapplied.
Access, correction and deletion
Use your private code to view and delete your conversation. For correction, access to other information, or a privacy complaint, send a Privacy request. Include only the details needed to identify the issue; do not send identity documents. The owner may ask for proportionate verification before disclosing data. No visitor account profile exists to export. Requests will be handled within any deadline required by applicable law.
You may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada about concerns within their jurisdiction. Other legal rights depend on your location and whether the relevant law applies.
Children and sensitive information
This general-audience portfolio does not offer children’s accounts or ask for ages, identity documents, health information or payment details. Do not submit those details. If you believe a child has submitted personal information that should be removed, contact the owner using the Privacy topic.
External links and changes
Project links may lead to independently operated sites with their own privacy practices. No third-party page is embedded automatically. This policy will be updated before introducing materially different data uses, optional tracking, or payments. The date below identifies the current version.
